HIGHER EDUCATION REFORM BILLS

The Ministry of HRD has been pro actively working on reforms in education sector and several initiatives and issues are being deliberated.  Recently five Bills as per as details below have been introduced in the Parliament and referred to the Parliamentary Standing Committee for its comments.

1. Higher Education and Research Bill (NCHER) , 2010
2. Foreign Education Institutions (regulation and entry and operations) Bill 2010
3. Prohibition of Unfair Practices in Technical Educational Institutions, Medical Educational Institutions and Universities Bill, 2010
4. The Educational Tribunal Bill 2010
5. National Accreditation Regulatory Authority for Higher Educational Authority Bill 2010
6. The universities for innovation bill, 2010 (5)

The government and the Parliamentary Standing Committee is extending invitation through advertisement to all the stake holders for their views and recommendations on these issues. You are requested to sent you suggestions, observations and recommendations to ASERF ate aserf@apeejay.edu
