Mr. Aditya Berlia spent several years in the Apeejay Education Society, first as the Chief Technical Officer and later as a member of the Executive Board. As the CTO of the Apeejay Education Society, he was instrumental in envisioning, planning and implementing all the technological initiatives undertaken in the 27 Apeejay schools and higher institutions spread over India, including the recruitment and administering of core teams for technology deployment, setting up of campus-wide & country-wide digital networks for enterprise resource planning, security & backup, negotiations with hardware, software & communication majors for bulk purchases, introduction of Classroom Digital Teaching Systems and broadband/VPN deployment.
In the year 2005, he also took over the responsibility of creating the Apeejay Education Society’s first online alumni network, to reconnect with more than 50,000 geographically-distributed Apeejay alums all over the world. In addition to overseeing the technical deployment of the alumni portal, he also spear-headed a major marketing and public relations campaign to spread awareness about the portal, increase alumni involvement in the institutions and create better alumni services and relations. The project got immediate results, with over 5000 alums registering on the portals within a month of its launch.
As a member of the Management Board of the Apeejay Stya Group today, his broadened role includes public relations and marketing initiatives of the Group, planning of upcoming institutions and buildings, representation of the Group in collaborating with external bodies such as government agencies, institutions of repute and other colleges and universities. His other portfolios in the Apeejay Stya Group include Co- Founder & CTO - Bersoft Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Member Executive Committee- Apeejay Education Society, Founder & Director- ACME Networks and Founder- Apeejay IVF Centre.
Seeing the lacunae of comprehensive and credible research and data on education in India, Mr. Aditya Berlia founded the ASERF in the beginning of 2004 with a mandate to do everything possible to improve education in India. As the Founder Director of the ASERF, he has been instrumental in developing the vision and strategy of the organisation, recruiting the initial group of researchers and staff, creating the advisory board and establishing links with government and policy-makers all over the country. Within a year of its institution, the ASERF today has grown tremendously and has made major forays into educational research, textbook publishing, workshops and lectures, curriculum creation, grant-making etc. It has attracted the attention of policy makers and eminent educationists, who have lent their support to ASERF in its activities and objectives. |
