ASERF organises seminars, workshops, conferences, discussion forums, and training programmes for the exchange of ideas and dissemination of its research findings.

ASERF has also instituted a Special Lecture Series in honour of its founder Chairman, Dr.Stya Paul.

Advisory Board Meeting:
At the first advisory board meeting, held on May 13, 2006; the objectives and the functions of ASERF were discussed and confirmed along with the proposal of institution of Research Fellowships and Research Grants in education. It was also confirmed to institute the Dr. Stya Paul Shikshavid Samman and Dr. Stya Paul Shreshta Shikshak Puraskar honouring educationists and innovative teachers in the field of education. Professional development of personnel in the field of education is an important area of concern. Relevant programmes of professional development for teachers of all levels and all areas of School and Higher & Professional Education would be organized involving experts in these fields.
